When a company changes names, how do you transfer the vehicles from the old name to the new?
Our DBA is staying the same, but we%26#039;re under a new corporation with new bank accounts and new insurance. My boss has given me this assignment and I%26#039;m completely flummoxed. I%26#039;m assuming that the titles, registration, plates, and insurance have to change - but I%26#039;m not sure how to go about it. I would think the court recorded it. I don%26#039;t know if that would mean a trip to the county clerk%26#039;s office or the county recorder%26#039;s office. That would be determined by the system where you had the name change handled. Then you pay for a duplicate copy - in fact, maybe get 2 and put 1 copy into a safety deposit box so you don%26#039;t have to go back to the courts again for this.
