How come in pokemon pearl you get a japenase pokemon and you cant change name is there another way to changeit?

You can%26#039;t change the name because when you trade a pokemon the name doesn%26#039;t change. The only way to make it english, is to evolve it.

once when i traded with some european dude, the nickname was so wierd so i went to change it





then i found out that you cant change teh name of a traded pokemon





have no clue why though





what you can do is try to breed theat pokemon





that way if the egg is the pokemon you want, you can nick name it whatevert you want
