Have anyone been throught the name change process with the Civil Court?

How hard is it when you just want to change your name because you just don't like your original name? And when you went to see the judge for a name change, is the juror people?Have anyone been throught the name change process with the Civil Court?You do have to go to the courthouse. I'm not sure about the actual court. My brother has been trying to change his name but hasn't had the time to go to the courthouse. I'm pretty sure you have to have a valid reason for changing your name and that it is more that just paperwork. If it were just paperwork my brother's name would have been changed over 5 years ago.

I don't think you ever actually have to see a judge or go to court or anything. Its all just paperwork. It shouldn't be a problem to change it just because you don't like it. Its legal to change your name as long as you aren't doing it to try to escape the law or something.
