You can only change your name at the county courthouse. They want cash. They do not take Visa/MC. They will not let you do it online. Some courthouses are putting some things online, but their domain names end in .GOV.



Those online websites are either frauds, or they are lawyers who will go down to the courthouse and file the legal papers for you. But I doubt they're lawyers if they're targeting everybody everywhere.
Usually a court order is the most efficient way to change names (which would be applied for in a state court).
