How do I LEGALLY change my name in the state of Texas?

I want to legally change my name, and I don't know anything about it or how to go about doing it. I live in Texas, and I know that there is a different fee for each state. I'm wondering if anyone knows prices, how easy it is, where to do it, and how long the process takes. Please give me as much information as possible. Thank You!How do I LEGALLY change my name in the state of Texas?lol what do you want your name to be?

Go to your county circuit court building. Ask for office of the circuit court clerk. Get a name change form. Be sure it's for an adult if you're over 18. Fill out and get it notarized. If you're under 18 your parents' need to get their signatures notarized too (on the same form). Then take it back to the court house and about two weeks later it's a done deal. You'll be notified by the court. Cost is around $40. If you notarize at your bank, there is no charge for the notary.
